I need help with an automotive repair question!?

I have a 2002 ford focus. It won't start. It won't crank. I turn the key the radio, power locks and interior lights work. The headlights, power windows and mileage indicator does not work. Battery is practically new. All I did was change the air filter.

sounds like the alternator went out and drained your battery, jump start it and go to autozone and get a free charging system check.
