How hard to replace an Automatic Transmission to a Standard in a Porsche 944--For the DIY?

I was just curious, if anyone has made this conversion? I figure I can get all the parts at a salvage yard, and then buy a new clutch and pressure plate during the swap.
The car is an 1985 that I am thinking about making into an EV.
