how do i take the seat off a 1996 suzuki motorcycle?

i put the key in the key slot under the rear right turnsignal and turned it and still got nothing
its a 96 suzuki rf 600r ant theres only a key slot on one side.i just bought the bike the other day n i dont wanna break anything
